Line of Fire Academy offers professional firearms training throughout Colorado & in other states to citizens as well as public & private law enforcement & security personnel. Courses include basic firearms safety, CCW classes, defensive pistol tactics & instructor training.

Looking for a CCW Permit?
For the Colorado CCW permit we offer:
NRA Basic Pistol:  A basic firearms safety course that is perfect for those that are new to firearms and /or specifically handguns, or as a basic safety review for those with firearms experience who have not trained recently.

This NRA basic pistol course is taught in its official format. The class is one day scheduled for 10 hrs and includes up to 4 hrs of range time!

• Firing the First Shots
• Two-Handed & One-Handed Standing Shooting Positions
• Pistol Sports & Activities

Upon successful completion of the NRA basic Pistol Course you may apply for the Colorado Concealed Carry Permit. It can take up to 90 days for the permit to be issued depending upon the county in which you apply.
You must apply in the county where you live, maintain a second home, own a business or real estate used in a business.

Note: While the basic course does present you with the necessary skills required to carry a concealed weapon it is HIGHLY RECCOMENDED that, while you are waiting for your Concealed Carry Permit, additional advanced courses in Self Defense and firearms training be considered in order to best prepare ones self for what could be a life changing decision.
Remember Practice, Practice and Practice some more so that in a time of need your response will be appropriate and effective.
Effective training on an ongoing regular basis increases competence and reduces liability!

This Advanced pistol course is a one-day course scheduled for 8 hrs and includes up to 4 hrs of range time!
